We recently asked each of you to share what you have been up to along with any exciting news you might have. Several of our brothers reached out with a wide variety of news about families, careers, hobbies and an upcoming event that all brothers are invited to attend. Here’s what they had to say:

Tom Hodgson ’74

“April 23 is the date of the second bi-annual reunion for Gamma Chapter Brothers in Athens, GA. This self-organized event is hosted by brothers who were initiated in the late '60s and early '70s, but all ages and their spouses are welcome. The reunion is held at a private home in Athens and not the Chapter House. A small fee for food and beverage is collected prior to the event.

Any brother interested in attending, please contact Bill Boswell This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..”

“I retired from CNN after 30+ years at the end of 2014. I work for a web design firm. In addition, at the beginning of 2016, I started working for NBC News. My family is doing well. My children Ellie-23, Emily-21 and Jamie-16 are doing great and my wife, Mary, and I will celebrate our 25th anniversary in April.”

“I have spent the past almost two years helping grow Grey Ghost Bakery, a family cookie company, which my mother started just over three years ago. We produce a line of nine different flavors: Lemon Sugar, Chocolate Espresso, Molasses Spice, Cinnamon Pecan, Chocolate Cayenne, Cranberry Orange, Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter and Peanut Butter with Chocolate Chips.

Simply put, they're delicious!

Our cookies are offered in three packaging varieties, an eight oz. bag of a dozen cookies, a four oz. canister with half a dozen and a single serving two-pack. We offer full customization on the front label of the two-packs and we make custom two-packs for multiple hotels, corporations and firms for VIP amenities and corporate gifts!

Grey Ghost Bakery cookies can be found in over 130 retailers across 28 states and that number continues to grow with each passing week! I would love to help my Kappa Alpha brothers fulfill their sweet tooth and/or gifting needs!”

Tommy Hopkins, MD ’74
“I have been elected Vice Chairman of the University System of Georgia, which is in charge of all 30 public universities and colleges in Georgia. I am now serving my seventh year as member of this board.”

Larry Neal ’06
“We moved to Memphis last May when I took a job as an Assistant Vice President for Commercial Lending Portfolio Management at IberiaBank.

Loving Memphis and also expecting our second child, a boy, the first week of April.”
