Still in the duplex - still living off the money that Dawn makes while bartending at the bowling alley. Still smoking Dorals. They ought to put me on one of them Life is Good t-shirts!

Life is good. I rarely wake up before noon. I smoke about two packs of Dorals a day, which is much better than three packs. I have remodeled my house, well duplex, to look like the inside of Gus Garcia's. Dawn, my third wife, bartends nightly. I still think about the good ole days at the mansion. Sometimes I get on the roof of my duplex and pour a trash can full of water ("douche") on the old lady that lives in unit B. The only people that I really keep in touch with in Athens are all my peeps from the 40 watt, and my probation officer. I gotta go, Gimme Shelter is on the Jukebox.

I still work as a pharmacist part time. I have opened my own Gold's Gym a little over a year ago have found it most rewarding. I am in the best shape of my life. I just wanted to let everyone know about my new passion, glass blowing/sculpting. Betsy, Ruthie and I have moved to Canada where I have opened my very own glass blowing studio. I am still heavily involved in weightraining and power lifting but I have finally found my true calling in glass blowing & sculpting. I have turned the day to day operations of my Gold's Gym to my manager, Jason Brady-pledge class of 1995. The name of my studio is Joe Blow Glassworks. Here is a link to my website which contains my updated bio (which I have written below.) www.joeblowglassworks.com Jeff Burnette has been experimenting in hot glass since his early teens but has recently devoted himself to his dream. Jeff kept his interest in glassblowing to himself for many years until he felt that he had mastered his craft. In this time, Jeff has developed his own unique line of work, including a stunning line of stemware, larger works like the Incalmo Vessel series, and the funky and unique ""Raygunz."" Jeff studied pharmacy at the University of Georgia, in Athens, GA. He has also participated in numerous advanced glass workshops, where he has worked with some of the top hot glass artists in the neighborhood. Through his intense study of glass, Jeff has mastered some of the most difficult aspects of glass blowing and sculpture. Jeff has become one of the leading goblet makers in the borough. After years of hard work, study and travel, Jeff opened his studio, Joe Blow Glassworks. The 2700 square foot glass blowing facility is located in the eastside warehouse district of Vancouver, British Columbia, a thriving artist community. Through his contribution to the glass community, Jeff hopes to raise the awareness of glass as a medium, and strengthen public appreciation for fine craft. He is married to Betsy Teller Burnett and they have a 2 year old daughter, Ruthie. Read the paragraph below about one of my upcoming shows from the local press. Since graduating from Georgia with a BBA in International Business, I have spent almost eight years living outside the U.S., two years in Germany, Holland and Belgium from 84 to 86, and six years in Russia from 93 to 99. My profession is commercial real estate brokerage and development. I have two children, 13 and 11, and I'm devoted to my family as a loving father and husband. I live in Atlanta and attend North Point Community Church where together with my wife we lead a small bible study. I am active in the Hall and Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and I'm currently developing Golden Park, a 100-acre mixed-use commercial development located in NE metro Atlanta. I'm pleased to be remembered as a KA and have periodically revisited the KA house. Recently, I took my family to Homecoming and was impressed to see the house in reasonably good shape and learned that the parents (of the current membership) were taking an active role in the management of the house.
